Living In Two Worlds

I have been thinking about the fact that I live in two worlds.

It gets kind of weird sometimes. Really weird at other times.

You see, I’m an Internet Marketer by trade. I specifically work in Micro Niche and Affiliate Marketing. I own my own business, I am my own boss, I work from home and all that good stuff. I’m blessed in many ways.

As an Internet Marketer I deal in a world filled with numbers.

  • Keyword Research numbers
  • Search Engine Optimization numbers
  • Clickouts
  • Hits
  • Pageviews
  • Conversion Rates
  • Gravity
  • Split Testing
The list goes on and on. Thankfully I love the numbers game because it takes just the right combinations and formulas for success in Internet Marketing.

For Huckleberry Media Connection to flourish, I must be constantly testing the numbers.

Now Peaceful Paths, under which this blog and my Kundalini Reiki practice fall, is a different animal altogether. Not so much a numbers game. Now clients and prices and subscriptions are important to Peaceful paths, but somehow I don’t obsess over them like I do with my marketing business.

As a Kundalini Reiki Master/Teacher I deal in a world of words.

I write, blog, teach, and learn. Much of what I do is very esoteric and “out there.” I love learning and teaching and writing about topics like Reiki, Tarot, angels, energy shifts, auras and a host of other areas related to the spiritual life.

At this point in my life I must say this about my two distinctly different worlds:
One feeds me – the other frees me.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE what I do in marketing. It turns my crank in so many ways. I laugh and play at the game.

But I’m never as free as I am when I’m sending or receiving Reiki with incense burning in the room and New Age music laying in the background. I love and learn in the moment.

Just my two cents for today.

What about you? I’m betting most of us live in two (or a dozen) different worlds. How does it affect you?

Share you story below – I’d love to continue the conversation!

Here's What I'm Doing This Summer - Learning To Read Tarot

A Summer For Tarot

I have been intrigued by Tarot for a long time. I’m not sure what it is – the beauty of the Tarot cards, the symbolism, the divination aspect or the ability to use all three to help others understand their life better. Whatever the reason, I decided I was going to learn to read Tarot this Summer.

By The Way

The oldest surviving Tarot cards are from fifteen fragmented decks painted in the mid 15th century for the Visconti-Sforza family, the rulers of Milan. (Robert M. Place (2005) The Tarot: History, Symbolism and Divination)

What I’ve Discovered About Tarot Reading

After spending hours online and in the bookstores, here are some basic truths I’ve discovered for learning to read Tarot. I told you I was going to boil it down for you!

  1. The Tarot card deck you choose makes a difference.
  2. Reading Tarot is a very personal endeavor which involves your intuition.
  3. There is not one single method to learn to read Tarot.

Helpful Tips To Get You Started (related to the discoveries above)

  1. While you want to choose a deck that resonates with you, I would recommend the Rider-Waite Deck . I say this because the images are a bit more straightforward than others.
  2. Please know, realize and take to heart that it is okay to incorporate your intuition in the process of reading Tarot to help others.
  3. Most methods involve some learning and memorization of Keywords associated with images. Other methods rely strictly on use of intuition to read the meaning for yourself or others. The best method is one that involves both learning Keywords and using Intuition.

The amazing thing about learning to read Tarot is that once you have an understanding and mastery over the images and meanings of the cards, performing an actual reading can become a simple procedure.

I now love the power of Tarot. I hope as you learn you will find that same love and power.

Blessings,

Frank

Have You Seen Your Aura Lately?

Thinking About Auras

I’ve been thinking and reading about aura’s recently. I’m fascinated by them. I even put up A Squidoo Lens entitled “What Color Is My Aura?” Check it out – I’m filling it with all kinds of resources I think you will find helpful.

My Experience

Nope, I haven’t yet seen mine, but my wife has. She describes it as approximately 6-8 inches thick, surrounding my entire body and filled with the colors of orange, purple and a hint of gold.

I’m learning what all that means. Again, I’m truly fascinated by this!

Your Experiences?

How about you guys?

Have you (or someone else) seen your aura?

What colors?

Do you sense or feel anything when you encounter your aura?

Have you had it photographed?

What influence does having seen, or not having seen your aura have on your life and spirituality?

You folks are simply the best and I LOVE continuing the conversation through your comments below!

Peace, Love and Light,

Frank

Can Intention Change The World?

As a Healer I use Intention in my practice each day. You don’t have to be a Healer or Coach or Therapist or anything of the like to know and use Intention in your daily life.

I found this short (less than 2 minutes) video today on the subject of change and intention.

Take a look and listen and let me know what you think!

Can intention change the world – or your world? How do you use the power of intention? What does it mean for you?

I’m A Geek.

Yup. Grade A, Government Inspected, Full-Fledged and proud of it Geek. That’s me!

How do I know it? Well, for one, I have three desktop PC’s, two Macs, a PC laptop and a Mac laptop. I LOVE computers!

Secondly, I can sit at said computers for hours on end without proper food or hydration and be happy as a Lark. Did I mention that I LOVE computers?

Anyway, with my Geekdom now professed let me see if I can make a blog point or two.

One of my favorite people on Twitter and on the internet is Chris Pirillo (@chrispirillo). Chris has been making cool things happen online since 1992 and one of his coolest sites is called -> Geeks! While tweeting away today I saw a link to a blog post on Geeks! by Eric Fox entitled Inconvenient Conveniences.

Eric basic question is – are all the conveniences we so richly have making our lives, in fact, more stressful, crazy and tiresome? He states a need that I have posted about on this blog recently – our need to slow down.

Hear him please:

People around the world are moving so fast, trying to do so much, that humanity as a whole is slowly choking itself with its own progress. We're trying to cram so much into a day, so much into our minds that we don't know how to do anything else. Children are soon going to be taught two languages from the moment they enter school, just to keep up, and some already do. What we need to learn how to do, more than anything else, is to slow down.

For too long I lived this way. Daily grind. Sixteen hour days building businesses while working jobs that I hated. Two years ago I hit the wall. No more.

Eric said it best: People are supposed to smell the flowers that they plant.

Sniff. Sniff.

Frank

Are you willing to slow down? Are you fed up with the rat race? How do you de-stress and simplify? Tricks, Tips, Help?

The Rhythm of the Spiritual Life

Thanks to my Priest, Fr. Nicholas Junker for inspiring this post.

The rhythm of a spiritual life – We Work. We Walk Away.

One of my favorite bloggers – Leo Babauta – from Zen Habits just wrote a beautiful post about our need to just be still:

We are always on, always connected, always thinking, always talking. There is no time for stillness — and sitting in front of a frenetic computer all day, and then in front of the hyperactive television, doesn’t count as stillness.

This comes at a cost: we lose that time for contemplation, for observing and listening. We lose peace.

Remember the rhythm: We Work. We Walk Away.

Are you taking the time you need to recharge and restore your rhythm?

If you are not – you are paying a cost.

Work. Walk Away.

Rhythm.

Peace,

Frank

Is The World Going To End In 2012?

As I’m sure you are aware, there is a lot of talk these days surrounding the notion that the world is going to end in 2012.

It’s everywhere - blog posts, articles in magazines, prophecy Conferences and water cooler discussions.

I must admit that I have put very little energy into the whole idea. I’m as game as the next guy to take a shot at a thought or two.

Actually, I’ll let two professionals who I truly respect tackle this hot potato. (okay – so I chickened out!)

Take a few minutes to watch and listen to Gregg Braden and Doreen Virtue. I think you will find their perspective refreshing!

UPDATE: Our Daughter and Amazing Twitter Community

Many of you know that our daughter, Heather, was hospitalized yesterday for extremely high blood sugar levels - 600+ readings. She is a Type 2 Diabetic who struggles to keep her blood sugar in check.

A brief update as we are heading out to the hospital now: Heather was severely dehydrated and hard increased levels of acid in her body because of her kidneys not functioning well (a vicious circle with diabetes).

She has received IV Insulin and fluids all night, but her sugar levels are still hovering at 360 this morning. Her doctors are running more tests to determine why her levels are not coming down to acceptable levels.

We should find out more this morning.

Let me give a note of praise and thanks to our wonderful Twitter community of friends and followers. @ReikiAwakening alerted the twitterstream of what was going on and we received a flood of well wishes, prayers, thoughts and energy. Thank you. Thank You. THANK YOU!

I am often awestruck by the amazing people I meet on Twitter. The generosity, caring and love we felt last night is a shining example of what Twitter is all about – Relationships.

I’m blessed and thankful.

Thank you for indulging me with this personal post.

You are truly appreciated!

Reiki Changes Things

Reiki – the wonderful healing art of spiritually guided Life Force energy – changes things. The more I work with this energy, the more I know this to be true. It heals, but it also helps.

Reiki Heals

Let me explain what I mean here. Reiki healing energy can and does provide healing with such things as:

  • Back pain
  • Insomnia
  • Cravings associated with addictions like smoking
  • Detoxifying after cancer treatments
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Physical strength
  • Stress

Reiki Helps

I have seen the healing power of Reiki. I have also seen what I call Reiki’s “helping ability.” This is where I feel the phrase Reiki Changes Things” makes sense. Reiki helps with such things as:

  • Family relationships
  • A general sense of well being
  • A consistent positive attitude
  • A feeling of being loved
  • A quiet spirit
  • Inner balance
  • Soothing anger and associated negative emotions
  • Enhancing loving relationships

Reiki Changes Things Physically and Spiritually

I have been blessed to work with many people over the years with various healing modalities. The energy that surrounds each of us is powerful. Reiki, for me, is the most holistic healing and helping energy I have ever worked with. It affects every area of our physical and spiritual being.

I’d Love To Help!

If you would like more information about Reiki, please comment here or E-mail Me Here! .

If you are ready to experience this wonderful energy – Click Here.

Peace, Love and Light,

Frank

Intuition: Three Easy Tips

"The only real valuable thing is intuition" ~Albert Einstein

“You must train your intuition - you must trust the small voice inside you which tells you exactly what to say, what to decide” ~Ingrid Bergman

“I feel there are two people inside me - me and my intuition. If I go against her, she'll screw me every time, and if I follow her, we get along quite nicely.” ~Kim Basinger

Three Intuition Tips:

  1. Value Intuition
  2. Train Intuition
  3. Follow Intuition

Enough said.

Intuitively yours,

Frank

I Am Hooked On Bruce Lee

“Ever since I was a child I have had this instinctive urge for expansion and growth. To me, the function and duty of a quality human being is the sincere and honest development of one's potential.” ~Bruce Lee (1940-1973) - Martial Artist, Actor, Writer

Bruce Lee Rules!

I was 10 years old in 1972 when Bruce Lee’s film Fist of Fury came out. Early in the film Bruce fights a group of Karate students and their Sensei. He kicks their butt – big time. I was hooked – big time!

It wasn’t until a few years ago that I realized just how interesting of a person Bruce was. He majored in Philosophy at the University of Washington and expressed his eclectic world view in several books he authored. Lee was more than a simple fighter. He was a thinker.

Bruce’s Philosophy

Take the quote above. When Bruce talked about expansion, he was doing more than simple motivation or self-help. He was talking about the very essence of a “quality human being.” Expansion and growth are what defined him – and it should be what defines each of us.

Are you at your fullest potential?

Me either.

Coming Expansion

I am a Kundalini Reiki Master/Teacher. Reiki will always be my foundation. But a Reiki Master is not all I am as a Lightworker.

Expansion has been on my mind lately.

For those of you who follow what I am doing and writing - look for a coming expansion. Look for it here in this blog and in my practice. Energy is being shifted into new and exciting avenues of growth and potential.

I’m excited.

Peace,

Frank

P.S. How can I help in your growth and expansion as a quality human being?

Shoot me an email!

Spiritual Connections

Have you ever felt a connection with someone and you are not completely sure why?

I’m talking on a deeper level here. Not just a surface “hey I like that person kind of deal. Maybe we can call it a spiritual connection.

Meeting My Wife RuthAnn

From the moment I met my wife, RuthAnn, I have been blessed to have this spiritual connection. I “sensed” her when we were apart. I often knew what she was going to say or do before it occurred and vice versa. It is the deepest connection I have ever had with any human being and it grows the longer we are together.

My Mentors

I’ve also had connections with my Mentors over the years. Barbara, my Native American mentor. Joe, my mindset and marketing mentor and Alice my Reiki Master/Teacher mentor. At times I “feel” their influence whether they are with me or not.

All of these are connections that I can explain. The have either loved me or taught me – or both. I understand the reason for my feelings of connectedness with them and i am thankful.

Unsure Connection

But I come back to my original question: have you ever felt a deep connection with someone and you are not sure why?

Freaky? Not really. Intuitive? Yep!

A few weeks ago I met Laurel Bleadon-Maffei (@angellaurel) on Twitter. Just a “follow/follow back” kind of situation.

As usual, I checked out her Bio and website. I was amazed at the beauty of her site: Illuminating Souls and immediately tweeted about it. The site and Laurel have been in my consciousness a lot lately as i am presently reading and learning about angels and Angel Therapy in my healing practice.

Beyond any of this – I have felt a spiritual connection with Laurel that I simply cannot explain.

Truth is:

Intuitively I know a simple truth: I have no need to explain the connection. It just is.

I am thankful.

Blessings to you Laurel - and to each of you.

Love and Light,

Frank

P.S. Do you have someone you feel a deep connection with? I’d like to hear about it in the comments!

Do You Feel It?

Do you feel it?

There is a “shift” happening.

For too long we have lived by the “just the facts ma’am” mentality. Granted knowledge gained through the scientific method has benefited each of us. I’d never deny that.

But have we benefited from the knowledge of the mind at a detriment to the knowledge of personal intuition? I think we have.

And there is a shift happening. You can feel it if you take the time to be sensitive to the flow of the world in which we live. Have you picked up a newspaper or magazine lately? The shift is even now being recognized by the scientific community.

Spirit – define it how you want – but spirit is leading the shift. I have felt the energy of this shift more during this Summer Solstice than at any other time recently.

Spirit directs intuition. Intuition is found within each of us. Some may be more sensitive or conscious of intuition, but it is available to all.

Truth: When your intuition is developed, it is a powerful force. It provides guidance, direction, knowledge and fulfillment. It does every bit of the work and provides many of the same benefits for our daily lives as found in the scientific inquiry.

Do you feel it?

Let’s talk about it,

Frank

P.S. I’ve spent a good deal of time recently working with intuition development. If you are interested in developing intuition in your life – send me an email:

Ain’t Reiki Beautiful?

I’ve found beauty in the energy of Reiki.

How’s that? Beauty in Reiki?

Imagine sitting on a rock in the middle of the winding Little Pigeon River – in the middle of The Great Smoky Mountain National Park in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Hear the water drifting slowly by as you smell the gentle breeze of fresh air. Feel the slight chill of the morning dew. See the awesome wonders of this amazing place I call “Home.”

The picture you see above was taken on our recent vacation. I saw, heard and felt each of the things just described. After the picture was snapped, I sent out energy of gratitude and drank in energy of beauty.

That’s how I’ve found beauty in Reiki.

Happy Sunday and Father’s Day.

Peace,

Frank

Such A Privilege

In a recent post I wrote about the need for Energy Workers to be Family First Healers. I count one of the greatest privileges I have as a Reiki Master/Teacher as being a channel of healing for my family and friends. There is no greater joy than seeing the ones you love the most experience the healing power of Reiki energy.

Tonight I had an another honor and privilege. I attuned my wife RuthAnn to Kundalini Reiki Level One. She has been on this journey with me as a supporter, cheerleader and friend. Now, in the days to come, she will progress from being a Reiki student to being my partner and colleague.

Can this Reiki stuff get any better!

Like with healings sessions, everyone "feels" something different during an attunement. Remember, an attunement is passed from a Master to a student so that the student may then pass healing onto others. It also allows the student to self-heal.

As the Reiki energy and light opens the recipient, they may experience tingling, warmth, light, colors, visions or a combination of all these. There is really no set way to describe what you may feel or sense during an attunement. The beauty is found in the individuality.

RuthAnn journaled her experience afterward. I asked her if I could share part of it with you.

Here is part of what she felt or sensed during the attunement:

As I sat in the chair to receive my first attunement, my body was in a relaxed state. Frank placed his hands on my shoulders and within 2 minutes, vibrations were felt strongly in my left forearm. This went on for a few minutes. The vibrations then moved to my spine. Up & down, up & down for maybe 2 more minutes.

When the vibrations ceased, I could no longer feel Frank’s hands on my shoulders, I only felt heat radiating. It was not the heat of hands, it was something different, kinna indescribable to me, a brand new sensation.

Next were waves before my eyes, squiggly line waves. I was then in a state of peace. About halfway through ( I think, I lost track of timing at this point) I felt something coiling up my legs, holding my feet to the floor. It was a grip, not to tight, but tight enough to know I was unable to lift my feet. I tried, yet my toes were stuck to the floor. After a bit, the coiling went up my body, tying me to the chair. It was at this point that I realized it was a vine or a root that was encompassing my body. I did not fight the bondage, but rather let it take me over. I next began seeing flames from my third eye and flashes of color. I am not sure what the colors were, either a dark blue or a dark purple.

I did not feel fear, I somehow sensed that it was okay. I heard Frank leave my back to sit in the chair until my Attunement was completed by me. I am not sure how long it was, but slowly, the vines/roots recoiled from my body, all the way down, releasing my feet and disappearing into the carpet.

Next I felt a surge of energy run up my body from my feet upward to the top of my head.

After it hit the top of my head, I was back to the state of peace. I opened my eyes and turned to Frank, I was a bit wobbly.

I hope this gives you an idea of what a Kundalini Reiki Attunement is like. For me, it was simply an amazing experience to have the privilege and honor to share this wonderful, powerful and life changing energy with my wife. Thank you RuthAnn.

Peace, Love and Light,
Frank

P.S. You know I want you to leave comments! Please feel free to share your thoughts.

Healing Tree Grounding Ceremony

It has been my experience that in the process of sending healing Reiki energy on a regular basis, one can become ungrounded.

How does “ungrounded” feel? I get a bit shaky, and listless. I’ve also felt thirsty, tired, irritable and unfocused. I can be sailing along with my work and all of a sudden it is like I just hit a wall. Time to ground.

The Healing Tree Grounding Ceremony is very simple, but very powerful. If your Third Eye Chakra is open, this ceremony will be very visual. I’ve often experienced beautiful light flowing through my body.

Technique Part One: Get outside. Find a peaceful place that you enjoy. I take off my shoes and stand barefoot (look for moss, it feels wonderful!). Relax and close your eyes. Imagine and visualize roots growing from your feet downward into the earth. Breathe deep and send them down farther and farther into the earth’s core.

Technique Part Two: As you inhale and exhale slowly, visualize energy coming up from the ground and into your body (For me, the energy is usually bright white). Draw the energy up through your body Chakras. Let it rise through your Heart Chakra and down your arms. Allow the flow to rise again to your Throat, Third Eye and out your Crown Chakra. Visualize the energy leaving your body and flowing into the heavens.

Technique Part Three: In this last part of the ceremony, you will visualize the beautiful energy (maybe it has changed colors now) returning from the heavens and into your body through your Crown Chakra. Let it quickly flow through your Throat, down your arms into your hands and back up to your Heart. Breathe deep and allow the energy to settle in your Heart, filling it with power and strength.

Smile (I always smile at this point), and enjoy. Your Healing Tree Energy Ceremony is complete.

And so are you.

Blessings,

Frank

P.S. Go outside right now and try this. Whether you are an energy healer in need of grounding or not, this amazingly powerful exercise will strengthen you.

P.P.S. Comment below and let me know what you think, how you felt etc. I LOVE your comments!
