Sunday Morning Coming Down

Then I crossed the empty street,
'n caught the Sunday smell of someone fryin' chicken.
And it took me back to somethin',
That I'd lost somehow, somewhere along the way.

I'm sitting here this morning drinking coffee and listening to old songs. Thinking about my dad.

In Reiki we often talk about removing past connections that hinder us. We work with things like Karmic Bond Cleansing, Etheric Cord Flushing and various other ways of working with energy to restore balance.

As I sit here this morning and listen to Cash and Kristofferson sing, I'm reminded that sometimes our past has a beautiful effect on our present.

Thanks Dad for having that effect.

The Energy of Walking

Two months ago I started walking every day. I LOVE walking. The experience is almost religious for me on so many levels.

Why I Love Walking
  • Like many of you I'm sure, I sit in my office for long hours each day. Walking connects me with Nature. Fresh air. The sounds of corns stalks ripping in the wind. The hustle and bustle of people working in their yards - children playing with friends. That smell - fresh, invigorating and relaxing at the same time.
  • Walking is Spiritual. It doesn't take long before my heart and my head connect in a way that allows me to sense Spirit in my life. I think, feel and experience on a much deeper level when walking. What's going on in my life seems to flow. I work out many details, problems, plans whilst putting one foot in front of the other. I connect with Something greater than myself.
  • The obvious - walking is physical. Heart rate up - muscles strengthened - bad out, good in. I feel better after a good stroll.
  • Walking Redirects Time. Huh? Here's my thing: When I walk, I have more time for the things I need to get accomplished. I never see walking as a time stealer. I get a ton more done before my walk because I use it as a reward for completing my tasks. I find more energy, both physical and creative energy after my walk as well. Walking redirects my time. Make sense?
  • Walking helps me as a Healer. As a Reiki Master, after walking, my connection to spiritual life force energy is so much more fine-tuned. I sense the energy in a deeper, more substantial way. The energy has a better vessel to work with as it moves in healing ways. I am a better channel for this energy because I walk on a daily basis.
There you have it.

I think it's time for a walk!

Blessings,
Frank

How Reiki Has Changed My Life

I’ve been all over the board recently with posts here at All About The Energy. That is all fine and good because I have many interests inside and outside of Energy Work. I trust you, as readers, enjoy the variety.

Today post is back to the foundational principle of this blog – the positive power of Reiki.

Within all the varying aspects of my life, I am, at heart, a Kundalini Reiki Master and Teacher. This particular form of energy and Energy Work, drives everything else I do. It has changed my life.

What’s Changed?
My Sight: I have seen the invisible power of Reiki at work in my life, the lives of family members and the lives of complete strangers. The healing I have witnessed has caused me to see the physical world in a different way. We are made up of energy. We are surrounded by energy. The Universe is Energy.

My Spiritual Worldview:  Learning Reiki put me in touch with a new group of folks. Starting with my amazing Teacher, Alice Langholt of Reiki Awakening and my participation in the Distance Healing Network, I saw people actively engaged in the Healing Arts.

Through the power of Twitter I was able to meet other Practitioners and students of such fields as Angel Therapy , Quantum Healing , Qi  Gong , Soul Reading ,  and Massage Therapy. I am thankful to each one of these powerful Healers for helping me to see a much deeper and fulfilling spirituality.

My Being-In-The-World:  The German Philosopher Martin Heidegger used the term “being-in-the-world” to redefine such terms as subject, object, consciousness and world. Because of my training in Reiki, and with a new and open spiritual worldview, I now am a different “being” in the world which I live.

I no longer need qualifying terms like “real” versus “unreal” - “seen” versus “unseen” – “conscious” versus “unconscious, “ as if the former of each of these was greater than the latter. I now function as a spiritual being having a human experience.

So What Dickinson – Good For You – Zippity Doo Da!
I write none of this to bring attention to me. I write because each and every day I meet people looking for something spiritually. They are so caught up in the here and now, and so tired of it, that they feel completely unfulfilled, lost and wandering. I’ve talked with them, listened to them and cried with them.

You know who you are.

Reiki changed my life.

What is it that will change yours?

Blessings,
Frank
